Our Lady Help of Christians Archabbey

Welcome to Our Lady Help of Christians Archabbey, the primary Benedictine community for the Church of Ireland in the Americas. If you feel you have a calling to serve God in a Contemplative way and have found yourself unwanted in other churches,  come and see how we may fit each other.  Our Patriarch, Archabbot Ordinary William Higginbotham is the Community’s Archabbot.  At this time we are established as a Monastery without Walls.

We follow the Rule of Saint Benedict and adhere to the seven first Ecumenical Councils and the three Creeds. We are fully sacramental and other services as the need presents itself.

Our goal is to answer the call of the first-century church – a time when believers began to endeavor on the road that we call monasticism – establishing real relationships with with Christ – by “going out into the wildermess” of life.  Our goals include; to move forward bravely into the 21st century and discover what is has in store for today’s monastic.

Fr. +William Higginbotham, OSB is our Archabbot. We are located at 103 Turlington Dr., Apt B, Tabor City 28463. Our number is 910-653-3388, you can email Fr. +William at ourladyhelpofchristians@gmail.com.
