St. Jude’s Cathedral Parish

Welcome to St. Jude’s Free Catholic Cathedral. We are a small, anglo catholic community.   We are fully inclusive as we believe that only love and not judgement can heal the world ills.

We are fully catholic in our identity though we are not affiliated with any of the mainstream churches. Our faith is centered in the seven first Ecumenical Councils and the three Creeds. We offer the seven sacraments and other services as the need presents itself.

Though the National Cathedral is certainly open to and welcoming of all the faithful, it’s been our experience that in the locale we are there just aren’t any nearby.  So the Archbishop says a daily “private” mass and says the Offices privately.

It should also be noted that although the cathedral is in his apartment, it is still fully a cathedral.  Cathedral does not mean “big church”.  rather is is from the Greek word cathra, meaning chair or throne.  As in the bishop’s chair, therefore anywhere the bishop’s chair resides is the cathedral.

We are under the protectionage of Our Lady Help of Christians Archabbey. Abp William Higginbotham, OSB is our pastor. We are located at 103 Turlington Dr, Apt B, Tabor City 28463. Our number is 910-653-3388 or you can email Fr. +William at ourladyhelpofchristians@gmail.com.
